lillian bassman

i discovered lillian bassman's work at the dallas art fair, where peter fetterman gallery was showcasing some of her photography.  i fell in love! lillian was a fashion photographer in the 40's and 50's for harper's bazaar - known for her high contrast and somewhat blurred photographs. i think her photographs are gorgeous and the epitome of class and elegance.  a few of my favs:
